Mounted Prints

Under changing humidity conditions, sometimes Ilfochrome prints will exhibit a waviness which can be disturbing. This problem can be solved by a special mounting of the Ilfochrome print.

This is done using 3M Scotch Positionable Mounting Adhesive. This is an archival cold mount pressure sensitive adhesive material which is applied to a backing sheet of polycarbonate plastic .030" thick. The print is then pressure mounted to the sheet of plastic, which permanently prevents any waviness. A print mounted this way can then be matted and framed using standard materials.
